Reservation & Refund Policies

Reservations:

• To confirm your reservation at our Hawaiian vacation rental homes on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii the Booking Deposit indicated on the Pricing page must be received within 10 days of the booking date. (Booking date is considered the day one arranges the dates and times of the reservation).  The Booking Deposit becomes the Security Deposit.  It is refundable, as explained in the Refund Policy below.

• All payments are in US funds by either credit card, personal check , cashier’s check, money order, cash or wire transfer or charge.

• We can negotiate a special price should you desire accommodations for more than 4 months.

Refund Policy:

All persons staying at the residence are responsible for the following four RULES:
       1. There will be NO PETS.

       2. There will be NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS.
       3. There will be NO PARTIES of more than double the occupancy listed on the Rental Agreement.

       4. There will be NO SUBLETTING OR ASSIGNING to others.
Unless we agree otherwise, the entire security deposit shall be forfeited by tenant if tenant, or guest, breaks any of the above four RULES.

Any additional cleaning charges, extraordinary wear and tear or damage or theft of items will be deducted from the deposit, and may, if necessary, be charged to tenant as an additional expense if the deposit is not sufficient.

Tenant is urged to preview the property or have someone else do so prior to booking. If no preview is done, tenant agrees to take the property “as is” and “sight unseen” upon arrival. Should tenant not be satisfied with property upon arrival due to not previewing the property, there will be no refund due to tenant.

Booking Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE if there should be a cancellation of this reservation. Booking Deposit becomes a Security Deposit upon occupancy.

Total Base Rent is NON-REFUNDABLE unless tenant gives written cancellation to Currie Investments, LLC more than 60 days prior to the “check-in date” of the rental. If managing agent or owner is able to re-book at an equal or greater rate, then the rent, taxes and cleaning fee will be refunded (Note: deposit would still be forfeited as a “re-rent” fee). If less than the full amount is received for the “re-rental”, tenant shall forfeit the difference.

The balance of the deposit, if any, shall be refunded by mail within 14 days of the departure date.

There is a $50 charge for lost keys, $50 charge for lost gate cards, and a $100 charge for lost remote controls (if any).

The check-out time is important. Any part of a day that the tenant stays past the check-out time, shall constitute an additional day’s rent which will be taken out of the security deposit or charged to tenant.

Owner &/or managing agent reserves the right to switch tenant to equal or better rental due to an emergency, fire, sale of rental property, natural disaster or other reasons beyond the agent’s control.

Do not deduct the BOOKING DEPOSIT from the TOTAL DUE if paid prior to paying the full amount.

Confirmation happens upon full execution of this agreement and Receipt of the deposit check by agent.

Read House Rules (if any) and DO NOT disturb the neighbors. Please remember that this house is in a residential neighborhood and the neighbors graciously support our renting this property as long as they are not disturbed.

Please do not touch or disturb the Sea Turtles that frequent the beach.

Owner &/or agent is not responsible for tenant’s personal property. Tenant is urged to obtain insurance coverage or check with own Homeowner’s Policy.

Children should not be left alone and for your safety, please stay out of high surf and heed all warnings.
